The Thearchy of Slalt, from the Covenant to 775

fantasyreligionworldbuildingAn invented world on a generated map
Didyia is an invented world; nothing in it is real. Its map was generated with Azgaar's Fantasy Map Generator, and its realms, towns and faiths keep the names the export gave them. The Covenant, the Orders and the Thearchy are the Timescrolly team's invention, told as a sober chronicle.
This timeline follows the Thearchy of Slalt, a theocracy of one walled city inside the Srat Empire, from the oath on the Salt Stair to the map's present, year 775.
What to look at
A custom calendar. The Tideshell Reckoning has ten months of uneven length and a nested leap rule: a leap year every 4th year, except every 36th, except every 144th. Two days belong to no month: Tide Rest, every year, and Shell Day, in leap years only.
Eras. The Age of the Drowned Kings counts backward to the Covenant; the Covenant Era and the Thearchy count forward. Each begins with an event on this timeline.
The map view places every item on the map of Didyia. Filter by layer to follow one thread: layer 1 the Covenant and the Thearchy, layer 2 the wars round it, layer 3 the Holy Orders.
Entities. The orders are a custom kind with a rule, a seat and a founding date; the realms are tied by a custom relation, vassal of and liege of, read from the map's own diplomacy.
The wars on layer 2 come from the map's campaign list; the Sratan Campaign and the Slalt War are told in detail. The war of 775 has its own timeline, The Abar–Zamunzian War.
