Dorothy reaches Oz by cyclone in 1900, by shipwreck in 1907, by earthquake in 1908 and on foot in 1909, and in 1910 she moves there. Each visit is a period at the year of its book, and each step of it is placed on Neill’s 1914 map, so the map view traces her route: from the Munchkin Country to the Emerald City and the Winkie Country, over the desert to Ev, and down to the Vegetable Kingdom.
Baum gives no dates, so each visit sits in the year its book appeared, as on the main timeline, and every step is linked to the same event there. This is fiction, drawn from Baum’s books alone.
